This book consists of thirty lessons. In each lesson, dialogues set in a variety of everyday situations unfold as part of a continuing scenario. Pronunciation guides accompany every dialogue, using the Turkish alphabet together with additional characters for Arabic sounds that have no equivalent in Turkish.

Each lesson also introduces selected grammar topics. Functional Arabic grammar is presented simply, in a way that moves beyond conventional grammar instruction. Exercises at the end of each lesson reinforce structures used in the dialogues, followed by a reading passage on a cultural topic.
